what to listen for ave maria virgo serena
A Journal Entry by Marsha H.
The musical slice "Ave Maria… Virgo Serena" by composer Josquin Desprez and performed by the Westminster Choir produced a very spiritual emotion within me. This piece fabricated me reverberate on the by when I would attend the Roman Cosmic church building with my family in the Caribbean. I remember sitting quietly in the pews listening to the choir composite voices singing songs with words I could inappreciably identify, yet I knew they were worshipping God. I think looking around at the many statues of Mary and the saints and admiring the windows that were painted in a multitude of colors. I still have the epitome of the high ceilings and dazzler of the church in my mind. I retrieve the calmness that was felt as the congregation maintained gild in the church waiting patiently for the priest to grace us with his presence as we listened to the choir. The vocals in this slice of high and depression pitch voices created a polyphonic texture, with a conjunct melody and harmony that would exist pleasing to mind to in a heavenly themed setting. This music makes me feel peaceful, pure, prayerful and uplifted. This music can be paired with medication, yoga, a classical, formal, or elegant event. If this music were a soundtrack it would be paired with a type of classical show during a nuptials reception, a formal result or in a blazon of aboriginal evidence. I would non listen to this music in my leisure time because after a period of time of hearing the abiding repetition I became disconnected and weary. I would not get to a concert where this music is performed because I may get very bored and apathetic.

Before listening to "Ave Maria Virgo Serena" by Josquin des Prez, I already had a adept feeling nearly the piece because dorsum in my country, I used to pray a lot to the Virgin Mary with my grandparents. After praying, my grandma would sing songs almost her which I had to learn. After listening to the slice, I noticed that the vocal resembles the songs me and my grandma used to sing. Going to church was also important for my grandparents. "Ave Maria virgo Serena" reminds me of the songs they used to play in church back in the Dominican Republic. For this reason, this vocal should be paired with praying. This piece makes me feel relaxed and safe. It also reminds me of my family back in my country. I feel like I would listen to this type of songs when I'one thousand with my grandparents but. In addition, another emotion I feel later listening to this song is happiness. I experience happiness because usually they play this song in church when the priest is walking to the chantry with the monks, to me is such a cute moment. The instruments in the church audio then so pleasant because of the echos. Overall, thats my favorite part of church and this song reminds me of it.

At first closing my eyes and listening to this music reminded me of a old European Catholic church where the music is being played from the balustrade downwards toward the altar. The overall aesthetics of the church itself seem to be made of stone and wood, with loftier biconvex ceiling and multiple stain glass windows. This music solitary gives a positive vibe with the high chorus chanting and the more college pitch tones used. I tin meet this beingness used during a anniversary or religious practice taking identify within a church. My start thoughts of this was how religious the music sounded, like to the previous ii [examples]. My favorite portion of this music is near the cease where there's a long suspension before concluding the whole song. The catastrophe alone reminded me of i of those Disney fairytale songs. If I were to listen to this, it would probably exist right equally I go to bed, playing this song for a while until I fall sleep. Maybe another scenario is during a moment of relaxation in an empty room. Overall the sensation I get from this is a more than uplifting chorus theme with the huge religious vibe.
A Short Story Entry by Nicole O.
One foot in front of the other, I was walking towards my hereafter. I estimate the drop in my stomach was the nerves getting to me. I tried to capture everybody's faces of excitement, the flashes of lights going off, even the baby cries of my cousin'south one-year-old, merely all that turned into oblivion when I laid my eyes on him. A sense of peace and happiness washed over me. This was an indescribable feeling that you would have to go through yourself to marry the love of your life. I walked up to him with tears in my eyes. "Don't weep," he said wiping my tears away. The priest gestures to everybody "y'all may take you seat, may this nuptials commence."
